How to Use This Calculator
\n
This calculator determines the molar mass of a gas using the Ideal Gas Law: PV = nRT.
\n\n
- \n
- Enter the Pressure in atmospheres (atm).
- Enter the Volume in liters (L).
- Enter the Temperature in Kelvin (K).
- Enter the Mass in grams (g).
- Click “Calculate” to find the Molar Mass in g/mol.

The Formula
\n
From PV = nRT, we derive:
\n
Molar Mass = (mass × R × Temperature) ÷ (Pressure × Volume)
\n\n
Important Notes
\n
- \n
- The Ideal Gas Constant (R) used is 0.0821 L·atm/(mol·K).
- Temperature MUST be in Kelvin. (K = °C + 273.15)
- The gas must behave ideally for accurate results.
